My lovely sister is modeling.
I took my inspiration from this website. I modified the pattern to do a double knit stitch, which I find easier than using circular needles. She has wonderful yarn suggestions as well.

Here's how the double knit stitch goes:
Cast on an even # of stitches.
*k1, slip one purl wise with yarn in back* repeat, being sure to end with the slip one purl wise. Make sure to switch colors on the same side every time.

You don't really have to weave ends in (although I wasn't smart enough to do it!) You can just carry the yarn on the inside of the tube, so you won't have to break the yarn for each color change. I just double knotted my ends and then pulled them into the middle. Easy as pie.
