Corn Bread


1 cup yellow corn meal
1 cup flour
1/4 cup sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
4 tsp. baking powder
1 cup milk
1 egg
1/4 cup vegtable oil


Preheat oven to 425° Line 12 muffin cups with muffin papers. Mix together dry ingredients. Add egg, milk and oil. Beat until smooth and divide between muffin cups. Bake just until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean, about 15 minutes.
