cole slaw

I loathe mayo, but this recipe is great because the sugar and the sour cream hide the taste.

1/4 head green cabbage, shredded
2 shredded carrots

Dressing
1/3 cup mayonnaise
1/3 cup sour cream
1 Tbs cider vinegar
1 Tbs sugar
1/2 tsp celery seed
salt and pepper

Combine cabbage and carrots. Whisk together dressing ingredients - don't skimp on the sugar, it makes the recipe. If I'm serving a crowd, I mix together the salad with the dressing. But if I'm only going to be using a small amount of cole slaw, I serve the dressing on the side. Unmixed the salad lasts a lot longer.
