This actually is a huge hit everywhere we take it.. my mom gets tired of making it because it's people request for her to bring to everything.

Prep: 15 min.
Chill: 24 hours

2 (3-ounce) packages of chinese flavored ramen noodle soup mix
2 (8.5 ounce) packages slaw mix
1 cup sliced almonds, toasted
1 cup sunflower kernels
1 bunch green onions, chopped
1/2 cup sugar
3/4 cup vegetable oil
1/3 cup white vinegar
garlic salt to taste
thinly sliced red pepper (mom said she really only does this at Christmas, because it makes the salad red and green)

Remove flavor packets from soup mix, and set aside; crush noodles. Place noodles in bottom of a large bowl. Top with slaw mix; sprinkle with almonds, sunflower kernels, and green onions.

Whisk together contents from flavor packets, sugar, oil and vinegar; pour over slaw. Cover and chill 24 hours. Toss before serving.

1 cup oil (veg or olive oil)
3/4 c rice vinegar
1/2 tsp paprika
1/2 tsp pepper
1/2 tsp salt
2T sugar
