Corn Bread


1 cup yellow corn meal
1 cup flour
1/4 cup sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
4 tsp. baking powder
1 cup milk
1 egg
1/4 cup vegtable oil


Preheat oven to 425 Line 12 muffin cups with muffin papers. Mix together dry ingredients. Add egg, milk and oil. Beat until smooth and divide between muffin cups. Bake just until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean, about 15 minutes.
