Biscuits


2 cups flour
2 1/4 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 cup shortening
4 Tbs cold butter
2/3 cup buttermilk

1. Preheat oven to 450. Combine dry inngredients. Cut in the butter and shortening.
2. Stir in buttermilk. Knead 4 or 5 times. Pat dough 1/2" thick and either cut with a biscuit cutter of cut into squares with a knife.
4. Bake on ungreased baking sheet until golden, about 12 minutes.
