our living room remodel is basically finished but im waiting to post pictures until i get my fabric in for my curtains. Needless to say i really, really love it. It’s amazing how much easier it is to keep a space clean that you love. (speaking of which, i havent forgotten the requests Ive gotten for my cleaning schedule. im just waiting to post it when i actually stick to it.)
* joelene has been getting me into some trouble by sending me all kinds of links to fabric to drool over. Im already plotting ways to talk christina into ordering another line for tangle.
*Ok enough of this, blogging via cell is tortuous.

Monday: linguine with turkey sausage and peppers
Tuesday: super loaded baked potatoes and garden salad
Wednesday: braised chicken with rice
Thursday: balsamic skirt steak with polenta
Friday: bbq beef sandwiches with coleslaw
Saturday: lentil curry (Jim will be gone)
Sunday: lemon roasted chicken

The living room walls are finished and today I start on the floor. It’s going to be a glossy white which I think will totally transform the whole house.

As I’ve been working on the floors I’ve thought a lot about the day over seven years ago that we painted them black. I was pregnant with Eden and I tripped and fell into the open heater vent. This action somehow caused, what we later found out to be, a chunk of wood to fall in my eye. Luckily Kevin and Sarah surprised us by showing up with rollers and paint brushes, so Jim and Kevin painted the floor while Sarah took me to the ER to get the wood removed from my eye. It was a totally unfun way of getting out of painting!

So here’s to eye-safe floor painting today!

This is the quilt i started in my quilting class. The class was great because i learned all the tricks for cutting and sewing straight. I obviously made it for Honor and he plans to use it for his dog, Bluey. Honor is so excited about this one and keeps thanking me profusely. Its so nice to have such an expressive kid!
I spent this morning cutting out the next one which will be a throw for the couch. I really need to give up sleeping so i can get all the sewing and knitting done that i want!
