I’m a dooce-lebrity!

Imagine my excitement when I got an email from a friend telling me that my knitting was on dooce.com. I feel so honored, Dooce has been referred to as the “Queen of all bloggers”. Not to mention what this has done for my web stats. In the last 24 hours, I’ve had over two THOUSAND hits. I knew that people loved Dooce (how could you not?) but WOW.

So I just wanted to say thank you to everyone who has stopped by, I know that I’ll never be as cool as Dooce, but maybe half as cool? While I don’t have a pop tart loving dog to dress up, I do get to fish many, many, many things out of the toilet. Afterall, sticking my BARE HAND in an icy bowl of toilet water to retrieve the beloved toy dog has got to count for something.

Hi. I found you through Dooce, too. I like your site, but I have a suggestion, if you don’t mind.

The text is rather difficult to read, mostly because it’s brown with a lighter brown pattern in the background. Sorry to sound like a purist, but black text on a white background is so much easier to read.

Otherwise, you do a very good job. Keep it up!

    Thanks,

    Jeff

Dooce is amazing, but I’m so glad to have found your site through hers. This is definitely going on my blogroll (whenever I get around to updating it!). Have a great Election Day!

Another one who found your blog due to Dooce’s honorable mention of the scarf that you knitted for her :) I just wanted to say that 1) I love the name of your blog – I often say that I’m feigning sanity. and 2) I’ve fished a lot of things out of the toilet myself but never bothered to keep stock of it all. We’ve had to have a plumber remove the toilet completely in order to get something out – twice! Oh, and I guess one more thing — you have very unique names for your babes – I like them! I’m off to check out your wares now :) Congrats on your newfound popularity!

You should charge a bazillion dollars for knitting with the funky yarn, just the hassles of working with it make it extremely complicatedly expensive! BTW, nice site, am glad my toilet fishing days have passed …. hooray for grandmahood!
