Carpal Tunnel

So, you know, as if things couldn’t get more stressful around the office, Jim has Carpal Tunnel Syndrome. In the last few weeks his hands suddenly started getting numb and and now he can hardly do anything. He’s been wearing braces on both hands and taking huge amounts of an anti inflammatory, but it just isn’t better and maybe a little worse.

He’s so angry. I don’t blame him. Yesterday his frustration level totally exploded. He can’t even hold the kids.

When it rains it pours. When you don’t think things could get worse, they do.

But this is the time when you really prove what kind of person you are. The time of life when you look to what matters in your life, when your reliance on God really shows you where you stand with Him. I just keep thinking this:

And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can stand up under it.

Sorry to hear about all thats going on. It does seem that everything comes crashing down at once, but God is faithful. He want’s us to rely on him. Just keep your eye on him like you said. Then when you get through these hard times you’ll look back and hopefully God will reveal to you why he allowed them to happen. Poor guy , thats sad he can’t even hold the kids. Just keep on keepin on girl. My prayers are with you!

You know, time and time again God has proven that he won’t give me more than I can handle – but there are times that I wish he didn’t have so much faith in my ability :)

You guys will get through this. It is very hard for someone so independant to suddlenly rely on others, and I am sure that it is difficult for you to take on the extra tasks too. Just remember not to take on too much. The things that are not important will fall away, and the ones are are important will keep comming up until they are taken care of.
