bravery and determination

Because we’re gluttons for punishment, the walls of Honors crib didn’t go back up until last night. I admit, Jim’s got more determination that I do. He dealt with nap and bed times all weekend. I can’t even count the MANY, many times that Honor got up and got in trouble. Finally, by last night, Jim had had it. He stormed into the kids room, turned the light on and started to screw the crib back together.

Who would have known that the best punishment of all would be to make Honor sleep in a crib? He was heart broken, he just sat there and cried with the most pathetic look ever. Jim is still braver than I, he thinks that in a few days Honor will be able to sleep without the walls again. I, on the other hand, think that he can sleep in the crib for the rest of his life and I’m considering Joelene’s idea to cover the top with chicken wire.

And congratulations to my friend Jill who just found out that she’s pregnant with her third!

Okay, I know you didn’t mean to be funny there, but I BELLY LAUGHED when I read your post, read the words “chicken wire” and then you wrote about your friend being pregnant with #3. HAHAHAAH!!!!

I think chicken wire is totally acceptable. I’ll even back you up in a court of law… and unless the judge and jury is all childless, no way you’ll go down for this crime! LOL!

haha. that is totally me and my husband! if anybody ‘complains’ about chicken wire, there’s always a fabric option. don’t don’t forget the ‘crib tent’ they actually make devices to put over the top so the kiddos can’t get out.

hehehe. my son was telling us about when he was a baby (he’s only 4 still…) and he said, ‘i remember when you guys used to put me in that cage, i didn’t like that’ explains a lot about why he never liked his crib, i suppose!

AWW. Sounds like me feeling sorry for Hailee when Aaron punishes her. It’s different when I do it:0) I have a better reason right? I think I knew someone with one of those tent things. I had a bed tent when I was younger. All i remember is having a fever and hallucinating right through the back of the tent. I saw my barbie bike ride in a circle around my barbie. That was pretty strange.Don’t ask me why I shared that:0)
