some must knits

This great little neck warmer at craftster.

A very cool shrug-y type sweater from the brand new issue of knitty.

This bolero, with some major modifications, like shorten the back and lose the sleeves, voila! one up on the sold out Urban Outfitters vest.

And check out this oh, so cool knitting cafe in NYC. I’m wishing I was there.

darnit – I wish I could knit.. I try.. I suck. I need to take a class. Nana tried to teach me with my great grandmothers old wooden knitting needles and they were like, the size of pool sticks. I don’t know what I ended up with other than a mess.

    I’m jealous of your talent!

Thanks for the tip! I didn’t know that the new Knitty was published yet. There is one shrug pattern that I found which I like, but it’s a kid’s pattern! I’m not sure if I’m ready to do a huge alteration like that yet..
How did your had classes go?

I really liked that knitty shrug, too. I thought it *might* even work on my vastly pregnant body, too. Of course, by the time I finish my other projects in queue I probably won’t be pregnant anymore!

I’ve been to The Point. Its pretty cool but was all but empty when I was there. The yarn selection is ok, not too extensive, but interesting.
I am totally making Blackberry. I was going to buy the yarn when I was out of town but no yarn store had it, as soon as I find that color, it will be mine!!!
