freezing

It is soooo cold here! Usually around this time of year it’s around 70º to even 80º but today it’s 42º. This has been such strange weather, it’s rained SO much over the past few weeks. The poor dog today was sopping wet, so he gets to spend the day in the house.

I got the heat running here at the yarn store and I’ve spent much of my day standing on the heating vent. I remember when I was little, taking my blanket and making a little tent over the heating vent in the cold mornings before school. It’s funny the things we still do.

What funny little habit do you still have from childhood?

I smell everything new to me. I’ll even walk around a superstore and smell things. It freaks some of my friends out.

yes! i used to do the same thing with the blanket tent. my funny childhood habit is i sleep with the blankets pulled over my head.

my main chore when i was younger was to wash the dishes. the second i stuck my hands in the dish water, i’d have to go to the bathroom. sometimes i’d even go to the bathroom before i stuck my hands in the water, but it’d still happen and i’d have to run to the bathroom. it still happens. it’s crazy. i don’t even think about it. since there are only two of us now, i usually finish the dishes and go, but when i lived at home there were 8 people, so washing dishes took awhile. :)

My daughter and I will fight for the best spot on “the warm” aka heating vent. I’m glad to see we’re not alone.

I have to take all of the lint of off my feet, including between my toes, before I will step into the bathtub……almost pointless to take a bath then my hubby says.. :) I also smell the cloths as I am folding them..

I’m the same way as Stephanie. Sometimes all it takes is thinking about doing the dishes! And I have been doing that since childhood, too.

I’ve been trying to think all weekend of a response to this and I can’t really think of anything!

I still don’t eat the crusts of my sandwiches, I open and lick the insides out of my Oreos, sometimes I have the urge to jump to the bed from the door to be sure not to have the bogeyman grab me…and I never turn out the light in the bathroom while I’m still in there…I guess that’s something.
