annoyed

Settle an argument for me:

Say you were at the drive thru. The girl tells you your total is $4.51. You give her $5.51. When she hands your husband back a handful of change, you make him ask her about your dollar. She then explains that she said the total wrong and it was $4.52. You’re holding in your hot little hand 99 cents.

Is it understandable to be annoyed?

Yes. I’m actually annoyed on your behalf.

Heck yeah. I’d give her back that change and a penny and get me a dollah. I hate change, stinky sticky nasty change. I’m not so keen on drive throughs because of the whole handling money and touchng someone else’s hand who’s been handling money an not being able to wash my hands before touching my food thing. Um, yeah. So yeah, heck, yeah! That’s annoying!

Yup, I’d be bent too…..eat the penny lady – McD’s has an extra penny I am sure!!!! (they should eat the penny not you! ) :)

Obviously you wanted a dollar back, at the very least she should have told you she made a mistake so you could dig out another penny. Quite understandable to be annoyed.

I’d be quite annoyed. That’s so ignorant!

I was under the impression (at least locally here) if the dollar amount that is spoken doesn’t match the digi screen – you get your meal free.

um, well, you know I would have handed them a five, and I wouldn’t have even counted my change, so ….

soryy can’t really be anoyed, cause I wouldn’t be in that position!

Yeah…that would be annoying, knowing me, I’d just deal with it and get the hell outta there before they spit in my food, but you could always hand her the mess of change back with a penny and ask for a dollar- since that’s what you wanted in the first place, and it’s her fault for telling you the wrong total…

I’m with Sarah… I don’t mess with food people, especially if I want to eat there again. But it was rude of her not to explain before she handed the change to you.

I would be annoyed enough to bitch and moan to my hubby about it but not enough to say anything to the food person – like the above posters, I don’t mess with food people!

That would annoy the heck outta me.

How freaking hard would it have been for her to say “Oh, i’m sorry, it was 4.52″ when she saw you handed her exact change???

Or to just eat that penny?

That’s just horrible customer service if you ask me!

Okay, would I have said anything? No. I would have whined to my husband while he secretly rolled his eyes and asked me what the big deal was. Then I would have went home and called my mom and she would have agreed with me but by that time my husband would have completely forgotten about the incident, the change would have been mostly put in the kids piggy bank but some of it would have managed to end up in the babies mouth and then I’d start whining about it all over again. And I’d call my mom back to tell her that the stupid girl at the drive thru made my baby eat a penny.

I can’t stand that I spelled ‘baby’s’ as ‘babies’ …I just had to come back to say that.

yep, annoying. I’m annoyed for you, so you don’t have to be.

I’d be soooo irritated. I’d probably get super snotty and say something, but I’m kinda snotty ; )
