steps to overcoming depression for the pretending sane

1. Yell at your husband.

2. When he yells back, cry. Then, when your 3 year old son asks if the reason daddy was yelling and you were crying was because you broke something, laugh.

3. Start taking Sam e and B vitamins.

4. Drink coffee, lots of it – Grande Decaf Americanos are good.

5. Knit.

More to come…

The B’s work wonders for me!
    Hope they help you too.
Now, if I could just quit breaking things …

    Mine goes something like:

    1. Yell at your husband.

    2. When he yells back, yell louder, loud enough for the kids to hear and ask you why you guys fight all the time.

    3. Start taking Sam e and multi vitamins.

    4. Drink coffee, lots of it – soy lattes are good.

    5. Talk to a girlfriend you haven’t heard from in ages, read other mamas blogs and realize you aren’t the only one out there pretending sanity.

Oh Allie…I’m sorry hun. Not to make too much light of your situation, but right about the time I started feigning sanity…I found out I was preggers…eh? (Okay, maybe not.)

I’m here if you need me : )

Sam-e really helped me out. That and lots of ranting on my blog. ;)

Sorry you’re having a hard time. Looking forward to your visit in January? I know I am! Gimme dates when you have the chance and maybe we can even plan a spa day (you know, if you have that kind of time!).

Oh Senorita. I hope you feel better in any way soon. You deserve it.

Oh no, PS. I hate days like those. Please take care of yourself. I wish there was something I could do. Take a long, hot shower, drink your coffee, and try to relax. I’ll send you a big hug via internet.

    xoxo

Coffee, yelling, crying, knitting. Sounds like good steps for the “pretending sane.” Throw in a couple kid kisses, maybe a puppy lick or two. I’ll be thinking about you!

It always gets better. After seeing a baby born 5 1/2 weeks early last night, I’m so very thankful that my children are healthy and were able to go home within 24 hours.

Maybe a night out with the girls would do some good. I’m up for it…open mic night? We can get some good laughs in that way. =)

Oh, I knew that I liked you from the first minute I heard the name “Pretending Sanity.” Tho cliche, laughter is the VERY best medicine……A sense of humour, don’t be caught without it! What great advice!
Except, I cannot do the B vitamins, they make me just as high strung and jittery as the decaf, which still has a trace of caffeine in it. Have a great holy day season- go ahead, eat my share of chocolate.

[…] Yesterday I stopped in Walgreens to pick up some more happy pills (buy one get one free too!). I had about 6 items and because I left my purse in the car and only grabbed my wallet, I didn’t have my reusable shopping bag. […]
